We'll be teaching at the September Somerstreets again this year. Join us on Highland Ave at the intersection with Waldo St (about a block from both Central and block and a half from the Armory) as we teach stilting to children and adults. We'll be setting up at 2:00 and teaching 2:30-5:30. Remember to show your Circus pride (and make it clear that you're with us) by wearing an OAC t-shirt. You can help in any number of ways, from teaching stilting, to managing the wait-list, to answering questions about our program and the upcoming performances, to just walking around on your stilts. We could also use some pictures so if you're even just going to the festivities and happen to take a few pictures of our workshop, send them along to firstname.lastname@example.org
We'll be teaching at Belmont's Cushing Sq Fall Festival again this year. Join us at the corner of Cushing Ave and Trapelo Rd (approximately 1 Cushing Ave) from 11:30-1:30 as we teach stilting to children and adults. Remember to show your Circus pride (and make it clear that you're with us) by wearing an OAC t-shirt. We could also use some pictures so if you're even just going to the festivities and happen to take a few pictures of our workshop, send them along to email@example.com
We'll be marching in the HONK Parade again this year. Always a great parade, with lots of great bands and great crowds, this parade starts in Davis Sq, goes to Elm St and then Beech St and heads all the way down Mass Ave to Harvard Sq. We'll be setting up at one of the parking lots at Day St at the intersection with Herbert St starting at 11am. Please arrive no later than 11:30am so you have time to get your costumes. If you have any specific needs for the parade, let me know. People walking on foot, stilting, juggling, unicycling, spinning poi, hooping, pretty much any object manipulation you want to show off, all are welcome! We'll likely have our bird puppets for anybody interested. Please keep in mind while coming that roads around Day St will be closed or will have additional traffic due to road closures.
We'll be parading and teaching at the October Somerstreets again this year.
We're running a little low on a few sizes of stilts. As such, we're going to work on building that supply back up this fall, though we're unsure of when this will happen and we may do it on short notice. If you're interested in helping out with this effort, let us know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. We're specifically looking for stilts of the following sizes that are around 1 foot off the ground: 16", 17", 19", 20".
